About

This is the personal web site of Ron Yeany. I’m a web analyst/consultant (educator, designer, project manager, etc.) at Boston University, although any opinions expressed on this website are solely my personal opinions. I’ve been “on the Web” in some form or another since 1994. Before the advent of personal computers I worked in publishing and graphic design.

You may contact me directly at this email address: ronyeany@gmail.com

I’ve maintained at least one personal web site continuously since 1997.

  • Entries posted here dated prior to March 2000 were originally published at doublefeature.com.
  • Entries posted here dated between March 2000 and May 2009 were originally published at leatheregg.com.
  • Entries posted in January 2010 and thereafter are original to this site.

My claims to blog fame (or notoriety) include a 2001 Bloggies nomination for Best GLBT Weblog, and I’m the author of The Blogger Code — a wildly successful meme in January 2002. I also contributed The Blogger Code as a chapter for the book We’ve Got Blog.

The regular cast members are Ron (the author), Marlin (my partner), and Boris, Natasha, Miss Tux and Tiger (the cats), with various friends and family making occasional appearances. In addition to my work, I enjoy working around the house (we are restoring a 115-year-old Victorian), reading, listening to music, taking photographs and watching movies. Personality-wise, I’m anĀ ISFJ. I also follows sports — I’m a big football fan, both college and NFL (and fantasy), as well as baseball and hockey.

All entries and comments remain publicly available on archive pages. I reserve the right to delete inappropriate, offensive, or stupid comments. Comments are disabled on (most) archive posts.
